My front end sat the same height after the rebuild. Reasons for the front end to sit higher is if the suspension is binding or the springs are not seated correctly.
Everything should be tightened after the suspension is sitting under load, or the bushings will bind. Front springs should be aligned where the end of the spring
is set between the two holes in the lower control are.

Excellent job on your caprice! Truly, one of a kind! I'm always checking your site for ideas.

I have a question regarding your install of the Rustic front end rebuild kit (SS Forum sticky) Did your front end sit a bit higher (1-1.5") after install ? I just installed kit (purchased before Mr. Nickell left the business), and now front is a bit higher. Any ideas!

Thank You!

Bob, I've been on the forum with you for years. I finally clicked on your link and I found some great info. As the original owner of my 96 SS, I like to do tasteful, economic and useful mods. Your comments on gear choice has helped me make the decision for the 3.42s. Great job on the SS and the website, thanks for sharing.

Your site was a big help to my mechanic who helped cleanup the LT1 in my 95 Roadmaster wagon. . I added a raiss intake , put on corvette fuel rail covers, hi-miler hoses, new belts , new water pump , etc .. Your tips on adding a electric fan saved a lot of time .. Next project is to install a center console and floor shift ..
I use your car as a template of what Iĺl try to do the Buick .. When there is $ left over from wrenching the 66 Vette LOL All the best from Vancouver BC
